I ordered this after debating for some time between this one and another style with a back on it. I wanted the back for support but liked the base size and shape of this one better for crossing legs. Plus this was half the price. It does take a learning curve and some adjustment to get the right set up but ultimately gives you the freedom to actually move around while sitting for long periods of time. I’m 5’2” and 145, I keep the chair all the way down and use my standing seat from Costco to work with the height. Since I’m sitting for 6 hours a day, I needed something different for my hips and legs. So far so good! Padding on the small sitting stool isn’t great, but you don’t notice it much if you’re moving around.

I sit at my computer for nearly 10 hours a day. As much as I would love to get up and move around, it isn’t always possible when you have back to back meetings.
I love sitting cross legged or just “non-traditional” and my previous chairs were not comfortable at all, leading to more back and hip pain. Now that I can sit the way my body wants I have decreased pain, better posture, and better focus at work.

I really like this chair! Before this, i used a Herman Miller Aeron chair. It was basically the creme de la creme of standard office chairs, but i was restless sitting in that posture all day and developed a kind of awkward and asymmetrical weakness in my legs.

I’ve only been using this chair for a couple weeks and I have to admit it’s been an adjustment, but I’ve grown to be pretty fond of it. I love the ability to sit in different positions, and i find that it’s been easier to sit still and focus in this chair.

The materials and construction are reasonable considering the price, but I wouldn’t mind paying $300 for this chair if they improved the padding material to something maybe a little more firm on the zafu-like, stool portion of the chair.

I have a relatively nice Samaya zafu and pillow meditation set, which is my main point of comparison - and i can say this chair is not as comfortable as a buckwheat zafu and quality cotton pillow. I tried putting my Samaya meditation set on top of the chair and it was a little awkward. This chair is still pretty comfortable though, and i can understand why the design decisions that were made were made.

Ultimately, after getting the seat set to the right height, i have found this chair totally sufficient. I just wish there was a slightly higher quality foam used.

Edit: Months later and no changes to the comments made in the original post, but i feel it is pertinent to mention that I do use this with a sit-stand desk. As others have mentioned, you will sit too high in this chair for most standard height tabletops. It’s not an issue with a sit-stand desk though.

I wanted a kneeling chair that could be used intermittently at my standing desk; this is the cheapest viable option on the market, but also has functionally better than more expensive options given the second gaslift under the seat. I can confirm that while it's certainly not designed for this, the chair works fine with a drafting chair cylinder replacing the primary shaft, and somehow despite this increased lever arm has not demonstrated any balance issues.

I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this chair, I just knew I moved around a lot whenever sitting at my desk for a long time and thought being able to change seated positions would be nice, and it is. I love it. I have sat in this chair in every conceivable position and they’re all great. I have an adjustable desk and when I raise it for standing I can slide the chair underneath and prop one foot on the seat (knee bent at 90 degrees) and I end up being able to maintain a standing position much longer this way, switching back and forth between legs. Yea, this chair is great. Also easy to assemble.

Loved this chair initially (I still like it) and it was easy to put together. Seriously great for someone fidgety like me who likes to sit in different positions. I did have an issue a couple weeks in, when the adjustment mechanism for the seat support stopped working; it just froze in place. I contacted the company and they were very responsive and made it right in short order. Great customer service that actually cares about the quality of their products.

So far I am loving this chair. I really hope it holds up because I think after a few weeks I won't be able to go without it. I've been sitting cross legged in standard chairs for so long it is causing issues with my feet. I have really tried to stop but decided to try this instead. So far it is great. There are so many comfortable positions available which I think will really help not stress any one area. Not missing the back support at all and expect this will be better for my neck and back too since I spend a lot of time on the computer.

Update. Only lasted a little over a year. The weld on the bottom broke. Wish I could get a new bracket from the manf. As the rest of the chair is fine but not sure how to contact them.
